In no particular order here are the Top 10 things Marco Rubio has said or done that should make him the last guy Floridians should send back to the U.S. Senate.

1.  Rubio said the Senate is frustrating and one of his friends speaking anonymously said: “He hates it.” (www.washingtonpost.com/...)

2.  Rubio has a shameful voting record, he even said the votes they take in the U.S. Senate are meaningless. Politifact.Com said it was “mostly true” when Donald Trump claimed Rubio has the worst voting record in the Senate. (South Florida Sun Sentinel Editorial: Marco Rubio should resign, not rip us off, www.sun-sentinel.com/...) (www.politifact.com/...)

3.  Rubio has no accomplishments in the U.S. Senate. In a very embarrassing and telling instance, Rubio-backer Rick Santorum, was asked on MSNBC to name even one accomplishment from the senator’s record. Santorum made a valiant effort, but he couldn’t think of anything. (www.msnbc.com/...)

4.  Rubio flip-flipped on immigration reform so he’d be more palatable to right wingers and electable in GOP primaries. (www.salon.com/...)

5.  Rubio lost the Florida--his home state--GOP Republican Presidential Primary to Donald Trump by double digits. (www.motherjones.com/...)

6.  Rubio is staunchly anti-choice and doesn’t believe a pregnant woman infected with the Zika virus should have the right to an abortion--even if she had reason to believe the child would be born with severe microcephaly. (www.politico.com/...)

7.  Rubio thoroughly embarrassed himself and the GOP in his rebuttal to President Obama’s 2013 State of the Union Address, where he drank more water in 10 minutes than Joey “Jaws” Chestnut can eat hot dogs; showed he’s a lightweight with small ideas, not ready for the big stage. The New York Daily News called Rubio’s response one of the five worst ever. (www.nydailynews.com/...)

8.  Rubio says Social Security and Medicare benefits need to be slashed or perhaps done away with altogether.  In one speech Rubio argued that: “These programs actually weakened us as a people.”   (www.seniorvoicealaska.com/...) (thinkprogress.org/...)

9.  Rubio wants to eliminate the Dept. of Education. (www.huffingtonpost.com/...)

10.  Rubio reneged on his promise not to run for Senate again. (blogs.wsj.com/...)

Senator Rubio launched and sustained his political life as a darling of the Tea Party.  Now that the Tea Party has more or less run its course, so has Marco Roboto.  He’s done absolutely nothing to merit a return to the U.S. Senate, which he expressed his disdain for on multiple occasions.

Under attack from his primary opponents for missing votes in the Senate, Rubio conceded at a rally in Iowa in January that his attendance record was not pristine.  "You know why?" he offered. "Because while as a senator I can help shape the agenda, only a president can set the agenda." He added, "We're not going to fix America with senators and congressmen."
So much disdain for the United States Senate, yet he’s running for re-election?  I hope enough of my fellow Floridians join with me in voting against a guy who clearly believes the Senate is a waste of time.  Let’s do Marco Roboto a favor by giving him a ticket out of the joint, with the opportunity to spend the next six years doing something he’ll probably find more interesting and fulfilling.
